5. Linens ‘N Things
There’s nothing better than going to bed in nice, clean, and soft bedding, am I right? If you spent your weekends walking around with your friends or all by yourself, wandering through the bedding aisles, there’s a good chance you were at Linens ‘N Things.
This home goods giant was filled with everything from comforters to quirky kitchen gadgets. It was one of the best ’90s stores ever! It had that warm, cozy, and slightly chaotic charm that made you feel like you had it all together. After all, we were full-grown adults picking out our new pillows and throws, weren’t we?
But things changed. By 2008, there were economic woes and growing pressures from competitors, like Bed Bath & Beyond. Unfortunately, the ’90s store couldn’t keep up, leaving behind only echoes of scented candles and soft towels. But for those who were lucky enough to shop at Linens ‘N Things, it was indeed the vibe.
